Sukanya Mani: Artist and art teacher. Teaches kids of all ages. Studio in Ballwin MO. Email me and I'll give you details about my lessons. I paint what I feel. My art in a nutshell is- Bright colors, natural textures and slices of life. I love the simplistic form and use it in my own creative contemporary style. The backgrounds are either warm or cool colors depending on the time of day and have a rich texture to represent earth. I execute an abstract art form using very free and bold brushwork for the background. The method of painting of the foreground is the complete opposite. I make a detailed illustration of a story using very fine brushes and controlled strokes. The symbols and shapes in my art tell very simple stories. This contrast of abstract and real, simple and complex, nature and man are a recurring pattern in my art.
